Li Ching Fen
Li Ching Fen was a native of Taming city and a graduate of the Mennonite (General Conference Mennonite) mission Girl's Boarding School. Her parents had engaged her to marry a young man. She knew very little about the life and character of the young man except by hearsay. She hoped he would become a Christian. They were married but they did not live together very long after their little daughter was born.
Li remained faithful to the church and to her Christian faith. She was a member of different committees of the Taming church and served as its moderator for several years. She also served on several committees of the Mennonite mission as she worked hard for the work of the Lord. She was especially interested in country work and gave much time to taking out the gospel to the countryside (lay evangelists). Her gifts of speech, good humor and discernment found expression in women's meetings and visitation work with other Christians.
