Floris Jacobsz Lijnslager was an aristocratic merchant at [[Alkmaar (Noord Holland, Netherlands)|Alkmaar]], Dutch province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]], much renowned for his important collection of drawings. He was a good friend of Elder Doornbos of Wormerveer and a member of the [[Frisian Mennonites|Frisian Mennonite]] congregation at Alkmaar, which he served as a deacon 1765-1778. His father, Jacob Florisz (d. 1743), had been a deacon of the same congregation 1731-1743, and his grandson Abraham Lijnslager Moeriaen 1815-1825 of the united congregations of Alkmaar.
