Lijnslager, Floris Jacobsz (1721-1778)

Floris Jacobsz Lijnslager was an aristocratic merchant at Alkmaar, Dutch province of North Holland, much renowned for his important collection of drawings. He was a good friend of Elder Doornbos of Wormerveer and a member of the Frisian Mennonite congregation at Alkmaar, which he served as a deacon 1765-1778. His father, Jacob Florisz (d. 1743), had been a deacon of the same congregation 1731-1743, and his grandson Abraham Lijnslager Moeriaen 1815-1825 of the united congregations of Alkmaar.
