Peter Linggenscher was an Anabaptist martyr, a native of Geneva, Switzerland, who lived in destitute circumstances at Rümlingen, supported by the wealthy brother Ulrich Madlinger. He had been expelled from the canton, but returned and was probably threatened with drowning and expelled the second time. When he appeared again and took part in the meetings of the Swiss Brethren at Lostorf or Ettingen, he was drowned in a brook near the Homburg castle together with Hans Madlinger on 11 February 1531.
