Marten Goudsmid (16th century)

Marten Goudsmid (Merten Goltsmeth; official name, Martin Berchmans) of Maastricht, Dutch province of Limburg, belonged as early as 1528 to a group of opponents of the Roman Catholic Church, apparently Sacramentists later he joined the Anabaptists; in 1533 he used to receive Anabaptists in his house and read the Scriptures to them. Then his traces are lost. He probably left the Anabaptists soon after.
