Mart(h)in (Marten) of Vilgraten in Tyrol, Austria, an Anabaptist martyr, who was beheaded with Caspar Schuester of Schoneck in 1538 at Michelberg in the Puster Valley. Van Braght'sMartyrs Mir<em>ror</em> gives the place of execution as Ries near Brixen in the Flucht Valley and names both men twice, viz., for 1528 and 1538. Both martyrs wrote several songs. The only known one was "Merckt auf unci nernt zu Hertzen, Wie Gott will suchen heim," No. 33 in the Ausbund, also found in the <em>Lieder der Hutterischen Brüder</em>, p. 87, together with "Erzurn dich nicht, o frommer Christ," by Kaspar Schuester.
