Millbrook Hutterite Colony was founded in 1983 as a division from the Rosedale Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Millbrook Hutterite Colony include: Spruce Lane Hutterite Colony (Blanchard, North Dakota, USA), and Meadow View Hutterite Colony (Bridgewater, South Dakota, USA).

In 2017 the Millbrook Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 1 colony.
