Mithelfer, a short-lived, monthly religious magazine of 32 pages, size 6x9 in., published from March 1926 to April 1927 with Abram Kroeker and N. N. Hiebert of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, as editors and owners. It was printed and mailed by the Mennonite Brethren Publishing House, Hillsboro, KS. The content of the magazine included sermon outlines, doctrinal articles, Sunday-school material, Christian dialogues, poems, editorials, and information on the current religious outlook. The first issue of some eleven hundred copies was mailed as a sample to Mennonite leaders and laymen. The actual subscription list varied between 400 and 500, and therefore the magazine proved financially impossible.
