The Mount Elgin district began services and formally organized in 1962. The congregation meets in homes. The congregation originated through immigration from the United States beginning in 1962.

In 1975 there were 49 members. The district has been affiliated with the Old Order Amish. The language of worship is German.

Mossley, ON. Located about 10 km (6 mi) southwest of Ingersoll. Bishop John L. Miller served in 2001 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
