At the 2006 convention of the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]], delegates accepted the North Shore Pacific Grace Mandarin Church, planted under the auspices of Ignite Vancouver, a church planting initiative of the [[Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]]. The church was planted by Stephen and Amy Cheung and birthed from within [[North Shore Pacific Grace Mennonite Brethren Church (North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)|North Shore Pacific Grace MB Church]]. The Cheungs were commissioned on 11 September 2005 to minister to the growing number of Mandarin speaking people in Vancouver.
