At the 2006 convention of the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, delegates accepted the North Shore Pacific Grace Mandarin Church, planted under the auspices of Ignite Vancouver, a church planting initiative of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The church was planted by Stephen and Amy Cheung and birthed from within North Shore Pacific Grace MB Church. The Cheungs were commissioned on 11 September 2005 to minister to the growing number of Mandarin speaking people in Vancouver.

In 2010 the congregation had 30 members and an average weekly attendance of 50.
