The Norwich District Amish began services in 1954. The group meets in homes. The congregation originated through immigration from the United States beginning in 1954.
In 1965 there were 58 members; in 1975, 63. The congregation has been affiliated with the Old Order Amish. The language of worship is German.
R.R. 1, Mount Elgin, ON. Located halfway between Tillsonburg and Norwich. Bishop John J. Byler served in 2002 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
