Nuevo Leon was a Mennonite settlement located approximately 500 miles (800 km) southeast of the Manitoba Mennonite settlement near Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. It was started in 1944 by 38 families, but was soon discontinued because of lack of water and other unfavorable conditions.
