Oedekerk is a former Dutch Mennonite family which may have immigrated from Odenkirchen on the Niers near Düsseldorf, Germany. In the 17th century members of this family were living in the province of Overijssel, particularly at Enschede. Pieter Oedekerk was a preacher of the Mennonite congregation of Kampen, Overijssel, in the first half of the 18th century. Whether this family is the same as the Oudekerk family found at Haarlem in the 18th century could not be ascertained.
