Peace Studies is a relatively new field of study. The first degree programs offered in peace studies were at Manchester College (1948), and Manhattan College (1970). By 1986 Bethel College (Kansas), Goshen College, Conrad Grebel University College, and the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary had established programs in peace studies.
