Perle-Bäumli is the name of a hymn by the Swiss Brethren, which contains 100 stanzas and begins with the words: "Was wollen wir singen und heben an zu Ehren dem himmlischen Bräutigam." Motto: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls; who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13). The song was printed in 1767. The full title is as follows: Ein schön neues geistliches Lied das Perle Bäumli genandt: Gerichtet nach dem Titel des hohen Lieds Salomons, und gegründet auf den Felsen, der Evangelischen Wahrheit und wahrer christlicher Confession, durch AS. Zu singen wie dasz güldene A.B.C.
