Peter (Pieter) Dirks (Dirczn) Snijder, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, a tailor, beheaded at The Hague, Holland, on 6 November 1539. He had been (re)baptized by Pieter de Houtzager and in 1533 was living at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]]. In March 1534 he joined the Anabaptists who sailed from there enroute to [[Münster Anabaptists|Münster]], but was arrested at [[Bergklooster (Overijssel, Netherlands)|Bergklooster]]. He was released upon renouncing his faith, but later, "relapsing into his former error," i.e., being again a member of the Anabaptist congregation, he was arrested a second time and put to death.

In March 1534 he joined the Anabaptists who sailed from there enroute to Münster, but was arrested at Bergklooster.
