Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church (Kismet, Kansas, USA)

Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church (General Conference Mennonite Church), located at Kismet, Kansas, was organized by Mennonite fami­lies coming from eastern Kansas at the beginning of the century. The first report of the congregation, under the name Schöntal Mennonite Church, ap­peared in the Western District Conference minutes of 1915. In 1930 P. B. Kopper was listed as leader, and the membership was 48. In 1957 the minister was Harold H. Jantzen, and the membership 38.
