In 2003 Harvey and Shirley Janzen and Josinaldo and Shantelle Almeida had a vision to start a church in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan after Regal Heights Mennonite Brethren Church closed in June 1999. The Janzens eventually left for Yorkton, but the Almeidas continued and began hosting a regular gathering in their home. Services began in November 2003.
The church has a plurality of leadership approach to leadership with no senior pastor. The moderator provides leadership to the elder board, composed of elders and pastor/elder.
In 2011 the congregation planted the Riverhurst Church beside Lake Diefenbaker.
The pastoral elders in 2010 were Willard Hasmatali (pastoral elder since 2008) and Doug Rempel (pastoral elder since 2009) and the membership was 30. In July 2015, Hasmatali and Rempel stepped back as pastoral elders and were replaced by Tim Stabell.
