Rose Valley Hutterite Colony was founded in 1958 (Hofer says 1957) as a division from the Waldheim Hutterite Colony. In 2012 the Rose Valley Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was David Waldner and the manager was Edward Waldner.

Daughter colonies of Rose Valley Hutterite Colony include Blooming Prairie Hutterite Colony (Homewood, Manitoba), and Evergreen Hutterite Colony (Somerset, Manitoba).
