The Rosenfeld Ruderweider Mennonite congregation began services in 1937. The first building was occupied in 1937. Peter D. Berg and Johan Funk are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through division from the Sommerfelder Mennonites. For many years the congregation had Sunday school together with the Bergthaler Mennonites. Minister Dave Sawatzky served in 1972 as a congregational leader.
