Rosenfeld (Rosefeldt, Rosfeld, Ro(o)sevelt, Roosenfelt), a family name found among Mennonites of Prussia, Russia, and South America. The name occurs in the Montau-Gruppe congregation as early as 1586 with the coming of Hendrik (van) Roosevelt to Montau from Antwerp, Belgium. The name was also found in Lithuania and Kazun. A contemporary of this family is the Mennonite Brethren Elder G. Rosenfeld of Brazil.
