Silver Valley Community Church held their first service in September 2003 and was accepted into the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia (BC) Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches]] in 2004. During the first few weeks services were held in the Maple Ridge Park before moving to the Yannadon Elementary School in Maple Ridge. In 2007 it had 22 members and an average attendance of 69 and was led by Pastor Dave King. In 2010 the congregation's membership was 21 and the average attendance was 50.
