Joseph Willich (1808-1872) was a deacon ([[Mennonite Church (MC)|Mennonite Church]]), of Reformed background, who came to the Niagara area of [[Ontario (Canada)|Ontario]], was employed by John Boyer, married one of his daughters, accepted the Mennonite faith, settled on the Sodom Road south of Niagara Falls and a few miles south of Chippewa. In his home in Willoughby Township, north of Bertie, Ontario, services were conducted for several years while he was active.
