The St. Vital Evangelical Mennonite congregation in Winnipeg, MB began services in 1989 and formally organized in 1990. The first building was occupied in 1990. Al Friesen is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation emerged from a Bible study group led by Al Friesen. In 2004 the congregation moved to its present location.

In 1996 there were 99 members; in 2000, 110. The congregation has been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference (1990-). The language of worship was English.

The church is located at 2005 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg, MB. Pastor Jerry Plett served in 2007 as a congregational leader.
