Stoetenberen (Stutenbernt), a nickname of Bernt (Berend) Rothmann in Münster. Stoet means a loaf of bread. He was given this name because he used ordinary bread in the observance of the Lord's Supper, contrary to the Roman Cath­olic practice of using a wafer.
