The Surrey Hispanic Church, pastored by Jorge Cardoza, began in 1993. It joined the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]] in 1999. The church was able to hold regular Sunday worship services, several weekly Bible studies, and a leadership training program.
