Westland, a district in the Dutch province of South Holland, south of The Hague, where in the fall of 1535 and early 1536 fanatical [[Anabaptism|Anabaptism]] was active in the villages of Terheide, Naaldwijk, and [[Poeldijk (Zuid-Holland, Netherlands)|Poeldijk]]. At the end of February 1536 a meeting of these revolutionary chiliasts in the house of Jutte Eeuwouts at Poeldijk was surprised by the police. For particulars see Jutte Eeuwouts and Poeldijk.
