Valentin Winter, leader (Vorsteher) of the Hutterian Brethren, chosen to the office on 22 February 1622, at Pausram, died 29 November 1631, having led the brother­hood with skill and faithfulness for ten years. He is the author of the song, "Von Gottes Lieb und Fürsorg viel."
