Andreas Zellinger, an Anabaptist of Halberstadt, Germany, was imprisoned in Rosenheim in 1578. In June of that year he was burned at the stake. His hymn, "Mit Gottes will Trauerns viel hab ich mein Liedlein zu singen," which he composed in prison, in its simplicity breathes religious inspiration and hope for heavenly peace and eternal joy. A poem, Täufers Sterbelied (Günther: 24), describes his martyr's death.
