Resources
Anabaptist Mennonite Ethereal Library
The Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia Online is pleased to be able to make available a variety of other resources. These include the full text of significant Mennonite confessions of faith and position statements on a variety of issues. A few early confessions of other faith groups are also included. All of these documents include the "source document" watermark, to help the reader distinguish between encyclopedia articles and full-text source documents. Other full text documents will be added over time. Suggestions for appropriate content is welcome.
Also available within GAMEO:
- a bibliographical guide to Anabaptist Mennonite studies developed by John D. Thiesen;
- some genealogical sources of interest to North American Amish and Mennonites
These full-text documents represent a variety of Mennonite denominations over an extended period of time. Thus you will find statements that may not agree with one another because they come from Mennonite groups with differing emphases, or because these emphases have changed over time.
The source documents are in two lists: the first are documents contained within the Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia; the second are documents available elsewhere on the Web. The GAMEO documents are listed in chronological order.
The Editorial Committees are open to suggestions for other source documents that should be included.
