Adrian is a family name found among the Mennonites in the Frisian congregations of West Prussia. It was derived from the first name Adrian. It was first mentioned in 1628 in Reichenberg. In West Prussia seven families of this name were counted in 1776 (without Danzig). Members of the Adrian family did not migrate to Russia until 1818. After that five families are known to have immigrated.
