View source for Altona-Vaughan Conservative Mennonite Church (Maple, Ontario, Canada)

The Altona-Vaughan Conservative Mennonite congregation began services and formally organized in 1965. Alvin Baker and Fred Nighswander are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through division from the York County [[Markham-Waterloo Mennonite Conference|Markham Waterloo Conference]] over issues of doctrine. The group discontinued in 1968 because it was too small.

Minister Alvin Baker served in the 1960s as a congregational leader. In 1965 there were 9 members.  It was affiliated with the [[Conservative Mennonite Church of Ontario|Conservative Mennonite Church of Ontario]] in 1965. The language of worship was English.
