Johannes Barse was a follower of Melchior Hoffman and a, participant in the disputation at Flensburg in 1529, at the close of which he arose and, according to Bugenhagen, played a comic role. Hoffman's verdict of his conduct was different; it was given in his Dialogus und gründliche Berichtigung gehaltener Disputation im Lande zu Holstein ....
