Bethesda Sanitarium, at Hillsboro, Kansas, was opened in 1920 by J. V. Wiebe in a two-story building adjacent to the Salem Hospital for the purpose of caring for the sick, poor, and aged. Later the building was taken over by the Salem Home for the Aged of Hillsboro.
