Bosch, formerly an outstanding Mennonite family at Amsterdam, of brokers, businessmen, bankers, later also physicians; some were deacons in the Lamist congregation. There was a Bosch family, possibly related to the Amsterdam Bosch family, in Alkmaar from the 17th century. Jan Bosch was elder of the Alkmaar Waterlander congregation 1699-1714 and at Haarlem 1714-?
