Britestone Hutterite Colony near Carbon, Alberta, was founded in 1994 as a division from the Rose Glen Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Britestone Hutterite Colony (Carbon, Alberta, Canada) is the Knee Hill Hutterite Colony (Carbon, Alberta, Canada).

In 2024 the Britestone Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
