Jacob Dyck: minister and elder; born 11 July 1661, Fuerstenwerderfeld, Prussia, son of Claas van Dyck and Oeselia de Veer (b. ca. 1639). Jacob married Hanneke Conrad (1662-1729), daughter of Isaak Conrad (1638-1709). Jacob and Hanneke had at least seven children. Jacob died February 1748 in Heubuden, Prussia.

Until 1728 the congregation at Heubuden was served by the elders of Danzig and the Werder. At that time Jacob Dyck was chosen as the first elder of the Heubuden Mennonite Church, and was confirmed in the office by Isaak de Veer of Danzig. In 1741, Jacob requested that a second elder be chosen, and as a result, Gerhard van Bergen (b. 1704) was selected. Jacob continued to serve until his death at the age of 86 in 1748.
