Einlage (now known as Jazowa; coordinates: 54.171905, 19.249076 [54° 10′ 18″ N, 19° 14′ 56″ E]; population in 1852, 271; in 1905, 383; in 2012, 660), is located on the western bank of the Nogat River, approximately 8.8 kilometres (5.5 miles) west of Elbląg (Elbing), 10 km. (6 mi.) south-east of Nowy Dwór Gdański (Tiegenhof), 21 km. (13 mi.) north-east of Malbork (Marienburg), and 46 km. (29 mi.) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk (Danzig).
Einlage was founded between 1632 and 1640 by Mennonite settlers. In addition to farming, the village also served as a ferry crossing across the Nogat. Until 1772 Einlage was part of the Kingdom of Poland. The First Partition of Poland in 1772 resulted in the creation of a new province in 1773, called West Prussia, in which Einlage was located. Einlage was situated in the district (Kreis) of Elbing until the establishment of the Free City of Danzig in 1920. The village came under the control of Nazi Germany during World War II until February 1945, when it was occupied by Soviet forces and returned to Poland. In 2012 Einlage (now Jazowa) was a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowy Dwór Gdański, within Nowy Dwór Gdański County, Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The Prussian census of 1776 lists 21 Mennonite families in Einlage with the following surnames: Andres, Bachmann, Dick, Driedger, Friesen, Gerbrand, Harder, Hilbrand, Jantzen, Kroecker, Loewen, Martens, Penner, Rogaliki, Wiebe, and Wilcke. In 1820, the village had 273 residents, including 77 Mennonites.
The Flemish Mennonites of Einlage were members of the Rosenort Mennonite Church.
