Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church (Milverton, Ontario, Canada)
The Fairhaven Amish Mennonite congregation near Poole, Ontario, Canada, was established in 1974 by families from the Mornington Amish Mennonites Church. Differences had developed pertaining to personal conduct, and the "purity of the communion table." Some of the conduct issues related to use of tobacco and alcohol.
Bishop Melvin Roes and minister Leonard Jantzi of the Mornington congregation led about half the congregation to the new group. A new meetinghouse was constructed. The congregation also operates its own school.
