Fairville Hutterite Colony near Bassano, Alberta, was founded in 1986 as a division from the Spring Side Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Fairville Hutterite Colony is the Eston Hutterite Colony (Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2017 the Fairville Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
