Faith Christian Fellowship (Catlett, Virginia, USA)
The Faith Christian Fellowship in Catlett, Virginia, USA was established in 1976. The congregation started when a majority of Pine Grove Mennonite Church members were dissatisfied with the pastoral leadership.
Bishop Lewis J. Tice of Mountain View Fellowship in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, responded to appeals for assistance. Tice called in 23 Beachy Amish ministers to analyze the situation. The ministers recommended the dissatisfied faction should start a new congregation. Faith Christian Fellowship was thus established with Alvin D. Byler as minister; he had been ordained at Pine Grove in 1961. Lewis J. Tice provided bishop oversight. Simon N. Schrock of a Washington, DC, Lancaster Mennonite Conference mission was invited to join the church in the spring of 1977 and was ordained as a minister that fall and bishop in 1981.
In 2017 the church was a member of the Beachy Amish Mennonite Fellowship and had a membership of 59. The bishop was David Nisly, and the ministers were Nathan Beachy and Ivan Schrock.
