Georg Frölich, "known as Letus from the Lömnitz, native of Vogtland," born in Egerland, Bohemia, on the Bohemian border not far from Lomnitz, probably in 1500, was city recorder first in [[Nürnberg (Freistaat Bayern, Germany)|Nürnberg]] (1524), and then in [[Augsburg (Freistaat Bayern, Germany)|Augsburg]] (1536), where with a few interruptions he was still living in 1554, the publisher of a book, <em>Das fürtreffenlich buoch Isocratis, vom Reich zu Nicocli dem Künig in Cypern geschriben (Isokrates, de Regno) . . . yetzt erstmals treülich verteutscht.
