Glanzer family

Glanzer, a family name found among the Hutterian Brethren, which stems from Carinthia. Among the exiles who were expelled from Carinthia and taken to Transylvania because of their refusal to return to the Catholic fold was Christian Glanzer, who was settled in Romos, a village west of Hermannsstadt, in October 1755. From here the group went to Alwinc, where they came in contact with the Hutterian Brethren and later united with them.
