Laurens Hendriks was a Mennonite preacher at Nijmegen, Dutch province of Gelderland, from 1690 until about 1714. A number of Swiss Mennonites who were being transported from Switzerland to England were liberated en route at Nijmegen on 6 April 1710 and were received by Hendriks and members of his congregation in their homes with much hospitality. In the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Library (Bibliotheek en Archief van de Vereenigde Doopsgezinde Gemeente te Amsterdam)|Amsterdam Mennonite library]] a copy of a letter written by Hendriks is found, dated 9 April 1710, to Isaak Seckes (?), giving a circumstantial account of the liberation of the Mennonites at Nijmegen, most of whom returned to the Palatinate. His son Hendrik Laurens, ordained on 18 March 1714 by Elder Jan Kroes (Crous) of Krefeld, was the minister of the Nijmegen congregation 1714-1759.
