Jan Ghyselinck (Jan de Lapper, i.e., cobbler), an Anabaptist martyr, died on 15 or 16 March 1569 at the Steen castle at Antwerp, Belgium, during his torture. (The records say "Op den Steen doot gepijnt.") His corpse was hanged as a deterrent example.
