Jericho Ridge Community Church began in spring 2005 as a satellite campus of [[North Langley Community Church (Langley, British Columbia, Canada)|North Langley Community Church]]. In 2004 the North Langley congregation began to explore the possibility of planting a church, and eventually the Willoughby community was identified as a potential site. Public services were launched in April 2005. Brad Sumner became the campus pastor while Pastor Robert Thiessen and the elders of North Langley Community Church provided leadership to both campuses. On 29 April 2007 the congregation celebrated its movement from interdependance to independance as a separate, fully functional church within the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]], which it had joined in 2005.
