View source for Kunz (d. 1536/37)

Kunz was an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] who died as a martyr between Christmas 1536 and 10 April 1537 at [[Bozen (Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy)|Bozen]], [[Austria|Austria]] (now [[Italy|Italy]]). Particulars are not known. The cross-examination of his traveling companion, Kaspar Huber, under Christoph Ochs in [[Michelsburg (Bruneck, Südtirol, Austria)|Michelsburg]] in the Puster Valley, revealed that both had come into [[Tyrol (Austria)|Tyrol]] from [[Moravia (Czech Republic)|Moravia]]. Huber had been baptized at [[Auspitz (Jihomoravský kraj, Czech Republic)|Auspitz]] by [[Hutter, Jakob (d. 1536)|Jakob Hutter]] in 1535, was imprisoned at Schoneck in Tyrol, and was likewise put to death for his faith.
