Love in Action Christian Centre began in 1994 in Calgary, [[Alberta (Canada)|Alberta]], when Pastor Carlos Vera, supported by his wife Ruth Vera, saw a need to share Christ’s love. Love in Action is a Hispanic congregation begun as a congregation connected to the [[Northwest Mennonite Conference]]. It met in the building of the [[Abbeydale Christian Fellowship (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)|Abbeydale Christian Fellowship]]. In 2003 it moved its affliation to the [[Evangelical Mennonite Conference (Kleine Gemeinde)|Evangelical Mennonite Conference]].

Love in Action Christian Centre began in 1994 in Calgary, Alberta, when Pastor Carlos Vera, supported by his wife Ruth Vera, saw a need to share Christ’s love. Love in Action is a Hispanic congregation begun as a congregation connected to the Northwest Mennonite Conference. It met in the building of the Abbeydale Christian Fellowship. In 2003 it moved its affliation to the Evangelical Mennonite Conference.

The church has been active in church planting in several Canadian cities and has been active with international projects in El Salvador, Chile, Venezuela, and Colombia.

The language of instruction was, and continued to be Spanish. In 2017 the church had a membership of 35, an average worship service attendance of 40, and an average Sunday School attendance of eight.
