The New Rosedale Hutterite Bruderhof, 15 miles (25 km.) southwest of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, was founded in 1944 by Andreas Hofer and 11 families from the Rosedale Bruderhof near Elie, Manitoba. In 1947 the population of the colony was 87, of whom 32 were baptized members.
In 2012 the colony was a member of the the Schmiedeleut Group 2. The minister of the colony was Arnie Maendel and the manager was James Maendel.
